Donate food

The Walton & Hersham Foodbank relies entirely on food that is donated by the public.
We supply our clients with a variety of food products, all non-perishable, to cover all meal times.
We regularly experience shortages of some types of food products.
When planning to donate food, please check the shopping list for the items we are short of.
Please only donate food that is well within its best before date as we cannot issue out of date food.
Thank you.

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis.

Occasionally when we have an excess of certain items or food that is near it’s best before date, we send food to other nearby foodbanks and charities who support local vulnerable people to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people who really need it, wherever in the UK they are.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
