We are delighted to welcome 5 new volunteers to the Walton & Hersham Foodbank. David, Fiona, Diana, Lara and Mary have undergone their induction training and will be helping us in the foodbank centres, food store and office. Our foodbank centre will be closed on Tuesday 8th November but we will be open as normal on the 7th, 10th and 11th November.

Our lovely new sign is up at our warehouse so that makes us officially open for business. We are able to take food donations on Wednesday mornings 10am – 12pm. For our address and details of all our food collection points, see our ‘Give Help / Donate Food’ pages.

We are so fortunate to have the use of a Kia car to help us transport food donations to and from our warehouse facility, our volunteers use it to transport food to our Foodbank Centres in Hersham & Walton.

A visit to the food bank isn’t exactly a traditional Christmas activity, but one UK charity is asking for a little extra help this month, when demand is at its highest and families are choosing between eating and heating.
